Just a little of my background: my husband Terry and I moved from Adelaide to Canberra in 1977 to be involved in pastoral work in a local church. Widowed in 1998, I have two married daughters and eight grandchildren.
I retired in 2008 after 28 years working part-time in advertising at The Canberra Times. My love for roses is my passion in the garden and I enjoy a coffee and catch-up with friends. I am a great believer in the therapy of good fun and lots of laughter. Providing homestay accommodation for overseas students, involvement in church activities, running women’s groups, volunteering at a local charity, and many hours at the computer with my writing keeps me busy.
I discovered rather late in life that I love to write. In the last 8 years have written and published three books, recording the inspirational life stories of men and women from all walks of life – Australian Women of Grace, Australian Women of Courage, and Inspiring Stories of Life and Faith. See www.inspiringstories.net.au There are many more stories to be told, but I haven’t begun my next book yet. That’s on hold while I take up opportunities to speak at various groups to promote my books and to stress the importance of recording our life stories.
