A NEW BOOK LAUNCH … “On Our Way to Kangara Waters.”

A successful book launch was held for this book last Sunday, with correct social distancing in place due to the Coronavirus. I was part of a team of three from Kangara Waters Retirement Village who produced a book of stories from the lives of residents to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the official opening of the Village on 24 May 2010.

The stories in the book are drawn from the rich and varied backgrounds of residents at Kangara Waters. There are interesting and diverse stories ranging from involvement in Bomber Command in WW11;  migration to Australia, with all it’s challenges;  travel adventures all over the world;  life as a personal assistant to Lord Mountbatten;  years of missionary work in Korea and PNG … and so much more.

This collection of stories, gathered from people from all walks of life, provides entertaining reading as well as a wealth of family and local history.
